Beni Mguild Henbel Kilim — Zigzag Constellations
Beni Mguild Henbel Kilim — Zigzag Constellations
Beni Mguild Henbel Kilim — Zigzag Constellations (200 × 140 cm)
A radiant Beni Mguild henbel (flatwoven kilim) structured around an axial zigzag lozenge chain, its nested diamonds woven in saffron, emerald, fuchsia, and indigo threads. Side panels filled with complex berrich knotwork echo ancient Amazigh cosmograms, while sequined inlays reflect light like constellations across a mountain sky.
Weave & Touch
Finely handwoven henbel technique in lustrous Atlas wool. The surface alternates between tight flatweave and low brocaded relief, producing a supple yet firm textile that retains its structure while draping gracefully on walls or floors.
