Boucherouite Eye of the Atlas — Checker Field
Boucherouite Eye of the Atlas — Checker Field
Boucherouite Eye of the Atlas — Checker Field (200 × 200 cm)
A charismatic square Boucherouite from rural Morocco. A mosaic of plush color blocks— indigo, lilac, teal, olive, clay, butter, and rose—sets the stage for a large central eye/lozenge talisman drawn in coral and ivory with inky black guard lines. Improvised geometry; protective symbolism.
Weave & Touch
Traditional hand-tied rag pile on a robust cotton warp. Reclaimed fabric strips are individually knotted to create a deep, feathered surface with joyful movement and high tactile appeal. The square format centers rooms and reading nooks with sculptural softness.
