Provenance & Craft

From Atelier des Atlas, this handwoven Amazigh rug has a textured wool pile with visible horizontal rows. Short cream fringe is visible along the near end, and a narrow taupe band runs across the opposite end.

Design Vocabulary

Hourglass forms recur across the field, from a cream figure on mustard near the top to a mustard figure on taupe farther down. Solid and outlined lozenges alternate with crosses, while small checker motifs cluster on an ivory panel near the fringe.
