Provenance & Craft

From Atelier des Atlas, this handwoven Amazigh rug has a textured wool pile. The near short end has a narrow orange woven band edged in cream, and short cream fringe is visible at the far end.

Design Vocabulary

Along the left side, broad blocks of pale pink and green meet a stepped charcoal form, with a stack of narrow stripes above. On the right, a dark outline descends from a slender striped motif, bends between red and pale pink triangles, and meets a blue accent beside a broad burgundy shape. Small lozenges punctuate the orange ground.
