Boucherouite Saharan Star — Earth & Ember Runner

Boucherouite Saharan Star — Earth & Ember Runner

Boucherouite Saharan Star — Earth & Ember Runner (250 × 85 cm)

A characterful Boucherouite corridor rug: a dark earth field punctuated by a central starburst medallion in coral and mint, lattice diamonds, and checker borders. Reclaimed cloth strips create a kinetic surface where Amazigh geometry meets joyful sustainability.

Weave & Touch

Traditional hand-tied rag pile on a robust cotton warp. Upcycled fabrics are individually knotted to form a plush, feathery hand with lively movement—resilient underfoot and forgiving in high-traffic passageways.

Provenance & Specs

  • Lineage / Region: Boucherouite — rural workshops, Morocco
  • Epoch: Contemporary (upcycled craft)
  • Dimensions: 250 × 85 cm (approx. 8'2" × 2'9")
  • Construction: Hand-tied rag pile on cotton foundation
  • Materials: Recycled fabrics (predominantly cotton blends) on cotton warp
  • Palette: Earth brown with coral, mint, saffron, blush, and ivory accents; braided fringe
  • Profile: High shag pile ~25–35 mm
  • Finish: Fringed ends; reinforced selvedges
  • Condition: New; minor irregularities and color variegation inherent to upcycled handwork
  • ADA-ID: ADA-BOUCHEROUITE-RUNNER-250x85-saharan-star-01

Styling & Care

  • Statement runner for halls, entries, kitchens, or layered gallery corridors.
  • Use a rug pad. Shake or beat outdoors to release dust. Vacuum with suction only (no beater bar). Blot spills; spot-clean with mild soap and cool water; professional cleaning as needed.

Upcycled heritage in motion—an Amazigh star path rendered in cloth, color, and light.
