Provenance & Craft

From Atelier des Atlas, this handwoven Amazigh rug has a textured wool pile. At the near end, the coral pile meets a narrow woven strip edged with cream fringe.

Design Vocabulary

In the upper half, tall black forms enclose mustard and turquoise comb-like figures. A branching plum line threads between outlined lozenges on the right. Toward the fringed end, smaller diamonds, chevrons, and hourglass shapes are set at varied angles across the coral ground.
