Zemmour Kilim Ledger Bands — Saffron Gold
Zemmour Kilim Ledger Bands — Saffron Gold
Zemmour Kilim Ledger Bands — Saffron Gold (240 × 140 cm)
A radiant Zemmour flatweave from the Zaer/Zemmour plateau north of the Middle Atlas. On a saturated saffron-gold ground, horizontal registers carry Amazigh glyphs—crossed lozenges of unity, stepped diamonds, and bead-like guard lines—punctuated by multicolor bar bands in carnelian, emerald, ivory, and onyx. The composition reads as a woven ledger of protection, journey, and kinship.
Weave & Touch
Hand-loomed kilim in tightly beaten wool wefts for a smooth, resilient hand. Motifs are executed with supplementary-weft brocade and slit-tapestry accents, yielding crisp, jewel-tone definition while keeping the textile light, drapable, and suitable as floor covering or wall hanging.
