The Fifth Glyph – Aït Zyan Fusion Rug in Acrylic Wool
The Fifth Glyph – Aït Zyan Fusion Rug in Acrylic Wool
Woven in the highland workshops of Aït Zyan, The Fifth Glyph channels elemental symmetry through a minimalist lens. Unlike traditional wool rugs, this piece is crafted from a resilient fiber blend locally known as Kubba — prized for its luminous sheen, featherlight drape, and low-maintenance appeal.
Geometric medallions, arranged in rhythmic repetition, evoke ancient symbolism with a contemporary pop: stark brick-red lozenges anchor the visual field while soft ivory grounds the design in balance. This piece harmonizes cultural expression with urban sensibility — a powerful example of hybrid Amazigh artistry.
Design Vocabulary
