Aubergine Constellations — Boujaad Moubra Kilim
Aubergine Constellations — Boujaad Moubra Kilim
Aubergine Constellations — Boujaad Moubra Kilim (240 × 140 cm)
From the Boujaad plateau of the Middle Atlas, this refined flatweave sets hooked lozenges and talisman crosses against a deep aubergine field. A fine ivory inner guard line frames the composition. Woven in moubra (maker-stated local fibre) for a supple yet durable handle, it’s a low-profile kilim that slides cleanly under doors and dining chairs.
Glyph Reading
Hooked lozenges (wolf-tooth edges) encode protection and focus; the four-dot cross clusters call in baraka (blessing). The dark ground anchors a room’s energy; the saffron and sky accents lift and clarify.
