Beni Mrirt Relief Panel — Ivory Field with Checkerboard Inlay

Beni Mrirt Relief Panel — Ivory Field with Checkerboard Inlay

Beni Mrirt Relief Panel — Ivory Field with Checkerboard Inlay (310 × 200 cm)

Substantial Beni Mrirt pile rug from the Middle Atlas (Khénifra), composed on an undyed ivory ground. Sculpted high–low channels articulate the field and frame an inset checkerboard panel in carnelian, teal, and sand—modernist geometry rooted in Amazigh craft.

Weave & Touch

Dense hand-knotted wool pile with differential shearing to create relief lines and the recessed checker motif. The handle is luxuriously plush with a quiet luster—signature of Mrirt workshops—finished with natural fringe.
