Boujaad Medallion Kilim — Oxblood Field with Serrated Guard

Boujaad Medallion Kilim — Oxblood Field with Serrated Guard

Boujaad Medallion Kilim — Oxblood Field with Serrated Guard (120 × 100 cm)

A refined Boujaad flat-weave from the Northern Middle Atlas, composed on a deep oxblood ground. A stepped diamond medallion anchors the field, flanked by serrated lozenges, star clusters, and hourglass pairs—Amazigh emblems of protection, fertility, and watchful balance. A grey zigzag guard articulates the perimeter with architectural precision.

Weave & Touch

Tight kilim plain weave with supplementary-weft brocade for the motifs. The surface has a suede-like (emerized) hand achieved through gentle finishing of the wool—velvety to the touch while remaining a true flat-weave.
