Boujaad Motif Kilim — Royal Violet Field
Boujaad Motif Kilim — Royal Violet Field
Boujaad Motif Kilim — Royal Violet Field (70 × 50 cm)
Compact Boujaad flat-weave from the Northern Middle Atlas, woven on a saturated violet field and punctuated by brocaded Amazigh signs: eight-point star clusters, stepped lozenges, checker panels and arrow chevrons that read as a portable talisman of protection and good fortune.
Weave & Touch
Traditional kilim ground (tight plain weave) with supplementary weft brocade motifs. The handle is crisp and light yet durable—ideal for daily use on a table, bench, entry console, or as framed textile art.
Motifs & Grammar
Border guards in fine pick-and-pick frame a central register of tizerzai (arrow/chevron) pathways, eight-point starbursts, and lattice lozenges. The palette—fuchsia, emerald, saffron, turquoise and charcoal—vibrates against the royal-violet ground, a Boujaad hallmark.
