Boujaad–Zanafi Topography Kilim — Sage, Coral & Ink on Sand

Boujaad–Zanafi Topography Kilim — Sage, Coral & Ink on Sand

Boujaad–Zanafi Topography Kilim — Sage, Coral & Ink on Sand (250 × 150 cm)

A Middle Atlas Boujaad workshop rendering the Zanafi hanbel in a modernist, landscape register: interlocking color fields of sage, olive, coral, and sand bisected by an inky, hand-drawn band. The base transitions to fine horizontal striations—cartography in wool that reads serene yet intentional.

Weave & Touch

Traditional flat-weave (kilim/hanbel) with interlocked tapestry color changes for the crisp planes, plus subtle weft striping toward the foot. Firm yet supple handle and largely reversible; finished with a hand-braided end band and tassels.
