Silent Symmetry – Aït Zyayne Rug in Acrylic Weft
Silent Symmetry – Aït Zyayne Rug in Acrylic Weft
"Silent Symmetry" is a lightweight flatweave from the Aït Zyayne region, crafted in acrylic wool and rendered in striking black-and-ivory contrast. The composition follows a lattice of crossed diamonds suspended between rhythmic lines—creating a meditative balance between movement and stillness.
Woven with an ultra-soft weft known locally as Kubba, this piece is light in feel, easy to fold, clean, and reposition—ideal for fluid, modern interiors. But its ancestral geometry—rooted in the Amazigh language of line—anchors it to deeper meanings. These motifs, once road signs or protective emblems, now serve as a quiet cartography of beauty and structure.
Atelier des Atlas provides with each piece a lineage dossier detailing tribal provenance, technical features, and symbolic interpretation. This rug is part of our Fusion Series—contemporary materiality with heritage soul.
