Dune Axes — Boujaad Sculpted Relief with Sage Registers

Dune Axes — Boujaad Sculpted Relief with Sage Registers

Dune Axes — Boujaad Sculpted Relief with Sage Registers (200 × 300 cm)

Contemporary Boujaad in undyed ivory, carved in high/low relief: broad chevrons and stepped bands form a centered X-axis over subtle sage striped channels. The result is tactile topography—velvety ridges that catch the light—paired with a clean, bound-edge profile for a modern read.

Glyph Reading

The crossed axes and nested chevrons act as Amazigh wayfinding and protection—thresholds, gates, and return. Linear sage registers read as water lines, softening the geometry. Energetically, the piece grounds a large room, organizes flow toward center, and invites calm, expansive breath.
