Garden Panels — Glaouia Checker & Talisman Kilim
Garden Panels — Glaouia Checker & Talisman Kilim
Garden Panels — Glaouia Checker & Talisman Kilim (150 × 250 cm)
Handwoven in the Taznakht/Sirwa corridor, this Glaouia kilim divides a soft stone-grey field into six panels: two jewel-tone checker sections, two talisman blocks with embroidered rosettes, and two “eye/boat” panels. A carmine floral border and denim-indigo guards frame the composition; short hand-twisted fringe finishes the ends. Low-profile and durable—perfect under dining chairs, in living rooms, or layered over sisal.
Glyph Reading
Checker panels signal abundance and order; rosette crosses encode baraka (good fortune); eye/boat motifs ensure safe passage. The red floral frame acts as a protective threshold. Energetically, the grid settles a room while the colorwork uplifts and clarifies flow.
