Terracotta Horizons – Joha Kilim in Earth & Chlorophyll Bands
Terracotta Horizons – Joha Kilim in Earth & Chlorophyll Bands
Terracotta Horizons is a contemporary Joha kilim from the Zanafi weaving tradition. Its linear symmetry is composed of vegetal-dyed wool bands in desert rust, mustard gold, clay, and chlorophyll green—mirroring the shifts of landforms, crop terraces, and mountain shadows under changing daylight.
Woven with the light, resilient flatweave structure specific to Joha kilims, this piece is imbued with ancestral codes while embracing an open, modern geometry. The central motif suggests a twin valley or mirrored path—speaking to alignment, duality, and grounded clarity.
Ideal for large open areas, bohemian interiors, or sun-drenched corners, this piece carries the warmth of Amazigh lands and the softness of hand-brushed, naturally dyed wool.
