Madder Meridian — Boujaad Moubra Kilim
Madder Meridian — Boujaad Moubra Kilim
Madder Meridian — Boujaad Moubra Kilim (250 × 150 cm)
From the Boujaad plateau (Middle Atlas), this flatweave presents a saturated madder-red field anchored by a saw-tooth central diamond and four satellite clusters, all held within nested guard frames and indigo zigzag side bands. Woven in moubra (artisan-stated material; a lustrous, resilient local fibre), the handle is supple yet durable—an elegant, low-profile kilim for living rooms, dining zones, galleries, or a statement wall.
Glyph Reading
The hooked central lozenge encodes protection and focus; quadrant lozenge constellations speak to continuity and blessing. Zigzag borders operate as thresholds—containing energy while directing flow. Energetically, the field’s deep red warms and grounds; the blue notes clarify intention.
