Sculpted Earth – Beni Mrirt Rug with Abstract Architectural Design
Sculpted Earth – Beni Mrirt Rug with Abstract Architectural Design
Sculpted Earth is a modernist Beni Mrirt interpretation that channels tectonic poetry into wool. Woven in the Middle Atlas by master artisans, this piece uses negative space, elevation shifts, and bold abstraction to mimic the fractures of landscape and the quiet rhythm of earthen walls.
The asymmetrical linear segments divide a field of ivory wool into sculptural plains—part sacred geometry, part spatial memory. Deep pile silhouettes rise against tightly woven black-edge gridwork, creating a striking interplay of texture and depth. The irregularity is deliberate: it embraces the rawness of ancestral terrain.
Perfect for avant-garde interiors, design-focused spaces, or collectors seeking architectural storytelling in tactile form.
